Contemporary interiors are combined with wholesome, organic foods to form a winning combination at Bondi Wholefoods in Surry Hills. This store is the second location after the original in Bondi, with more space, less of a wait time but your same healthy options for breakfast, lunch and to takeaway.
Bondi Wholefoods is leading the way in nutritious cafes in Sydney’s centre, offering a menu consisting of delicious, organic produce that has been grown and farmed sustainably. This means no toxic chemicals and a zero tolerance for genetic modification.
In regard to what’s on offer to accompany your coffee or to grab on the run, raw and paleo treats, vegan muffins and bright green, organic salads are just the tip of the ice-berg . If you want to sit in and soak up the atmosphere in their outdoor courtyard, the large menu includes brunch until 3pm, a variety of wraps, sandwiches and salad bowls, smoothies and juices.
For lunch, I ordered the wholegrain toast with smoked salmon, avocado and fresh greens drizzled in zesty lime juice, along with an iced chocolate. My friend chose the mushroom bruschetta and a creamy, hazelnut hot chocolate, which we agreed tasted like the healthy equivalent to liquid Nutella! With a focus on quality ingredients, the food in general was super flavoursome and tasty.
Just a 5 minute walk from Central station, it’s a must-visit spot.
